FLUIDISM
Everything  flows.  Fluidity  belongs  to  the  human  being  by  our  biological composition, and by the composition of our society in which we are immersed. All we have to do is let ourselves be carried away by the flow of eternal becoming. My  drawings  and  paintings  are  inspired  by  the  liquid  aggregate  state  of  water, giving me the greatest freedom to create without wholly destroying its form and initial character. The shapes and features of all living bodies are continuously changing and I had the idea to only draw the liquid part of the bodies. An  elephant  is  transformed  into  new  elephant  through  a  complex  ensemble  of colours  and  organic  shapes,  without  losing  the  idea  of  the  elephant.  A  person’s character and inner life can be recognised in a portrait; a bird remains a bird without losing the character and idea of flight. Fluidism is  a concept through which I express my artistic  creed in works of art, inspired  by  the  existence  of  a complex  substance  of  outstanding  properties  and qualities – WATER.
WATER is a unique and indestructible substance.
WATER is the basis of life, growth and change.
WATER has the ability to regenerate continually.
WATER is comforting and soothing.
WATER shows understanding and sensitivity. WATER is an accomplished artist.
WATER is the most important element on the planet, can be found in 70% of our earth  and  in  the  same  proportion  in  the  bodies  of  humans,  animals  and  plants  – sometimes even in a larger quantity. I have chosen to use the seven colours of the rainbow and the shades obtained by combining them in all of my artworks.

What`s your background?
I was born and finished my studies in Romania. I studied Industrial design and worked as a furniture designer. I have been living in Austria for almost 20 years now.

What does it mean to you to win the Collectors Art Prize?
For me, winning the Collectors Art Prize marks the most important turning point in my artistic career so far. It`s a unique, extraordinary experience that you only get once in a lifetime.
Thank you to Contemporary Art Collectors for offering me this great opportunity.

What do you think is the role of art in the world today?
The role of art in the world today is to shed light in many aspects of our society. To help others to see what cannot be seen, to create a visible presence of the invisible. Art can play a significant role in shaping history.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?
Art is a field of particular complexity. Everything that is created in art comes from extraordinarily sensitive human beings, connected to a different reality than ordinary people. Their creations are a step forward in the spiritual, artistic evolution of humanity and it is very difficult to think of changing something. Everything that has been and will be created on this planet is our mark as intelligent, emotional beings.

What are your most significant professional achievements?
One of the most important professional achievements was getting my degree in Industrial design. I am proud of this achievement and feel that what I have learned gives me a great advantage in my artistic career now. Studying Industrial design taught me to observe and understand Nature first. The research of complex structures in nature, the search of new shapes and textures, color combinations, the study of drawing, all these helped me in defining my new artistic style.

What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicity? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?

My source of inspiration is WATER in its liquid state of manifestation. WATER is the main element, that unites all creation, which it sustains and influences permanently. WATER is in the body of plants, animals and humans in a very large proportion (70% or more). Thus I had the idea to draw only the liquid part of the bodies without destroying their character.
The portraits I paint, for example, are made of an ensemble of organic shapes of different sizes and colors, organized into a complex composition. The organic forms I use in my artworks are inspired by the movement of fluids. The seven colors of the rainbow and the shades obtained by combining them I use in all my artworks. I called my new style – FLUIDISM.
I wish through my artworks to bring more understanding and respect to a substance without which we cannot exist, a substance that binds everything together in a complex life system of boundless beauty

What advice would you give to the upcoming generation of artists?
Artificial intelligence has become part of our daily lives. It spreads quickly and is very invasive. The world of robots is a sterile, cold world that isolates you. I wish that future generations of artists do not lose touch with nature, with real life because that`s what value the most.

In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?

Certainly my artistic career will change in many aspects in the next five years. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me.
