Howard Harris · Winner Collectors Art Prize

Howard Harris is a Techspressionist artist based in Denver, Colorado, whose work investigates the complexities of visual perception and design. He received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and a Master's in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in New York, where he studied with design theorist Rowena Reed Kostellow. His educational background also includes studies in Economics and Computer Science at the University of Missouri, as well as Sublimation Color Research at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He holds certifications in marketing, graphic arts, and financial management from the University of Utah and Northwestern University.

With over 35 years of experience integrating design and technology, Harris has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Who’s Who Worldwide Lifetime Achievement Award for Small Businessperson of the Year, the Design Professional of the Year award from Presidential Who’s Who Marketing, and multiple industry accolades. In 2017, he was granted a U.S. Patent for his innovative layered artwork apparatus and methodology, underscoring the uniqueness of his photographic work.

Harris has been honored as Artist of the Decade by Artists for a Green Planet. He has received international prizes, including the Raffaello, Giulio Cesare, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio awards. He has served as a trustee of The Kansas City Art Institute, and his artwork is exhibited internationally and represented by galleries across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
