Mimbelbi - Tina Ritter · Winner Collectors Art Prize
"For me, immersing myself in the painting process is pure happiness. A happiness I want to pass on. It's like diving into a world of my own."
Tina Ritter was born in Darmstadt in 1972 and grew up in a small village. Even as a child, she loved painting and drawing and was fascinated by the works of Salvador Dalí and M. C. Escher. Today she lives and works in Darmstadt.
After studying architecture, she began exhibiting her works under the name Mimbelbi in 2022. That same year, she won first prize in the "Creative Competition" organized by Sparkasse Frankfurt 1822 and the Frankfurter Neue Presse. Her works have been featured and shown in various online blogs this year.
In 2023, she was accepted into the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK).
She will be expanding her artistic training in 2024/25 with seminars at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor and the Free Art School Frankfurt.
In 2024, she was among the finalists of Arbox.Project Palma 2.0, which was followed by a group exhibition in Palma and a work acquisition by the gallery. In the same year, several graphic works and animal watercolors were published as digital album covers.
In 2025, she founded the artist collective kinsa-art with two other artists.
In the fall of this year, the children's book "Ich komm wieder klar" (I'll be alright again) by Iris-Soppa Fischer will be published, featuring 12 illustrations by Tina Ritter. Works were also published in the 41st issue of Spotlight Magazine (page 67) and the 11th issue of Circle Quarterly Art Review (page 35).
In addition to digital exhibitions in Switzerland, Venice, Dubai, Berlin, Spain, and New York, her work has been featured in 22 exhibitions to date. She has also participated in several art fairs, such as the Discovery Art Fair in Frankfurt and the art fair in Kassel (Arte Wiesbaden follows). She is also a member of various artist groups, such as Vielmalerei, SchuppenART, and Künstlerhaus Ziegelhütte e. V.
When she paints, she prefers to do it barefoot and with her hands full of paint. Her figurative works often feature children's fantasies or jumping.
