Pilar Xercavins Casas is an artist from Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain) born in 1961. Her painting style is abstract and she uses a mixed technique. She went through different learning techniques; pencil, charcoal, oil, coloured chalks and engraving, until she ended up using natural pigments and created her own style.

Before creating her own technique she experimented with plants, flowers and leaves from the trees leaving them to act on the canvas under the rain and the sun, this way she discovered an aging texture more similar to nature. Later on a trip to Morocco she discovered the natural pigments that led her to create her own technique. She has exhibited in multiple collective and individual exhibitions in galleries and museums and has received several international awards.
