Camilla Ghione

Camilla Ghione

Camilla Ghione’s art is a reflection—of light, of space, and of the human experience. Her work rejects the idea of perfection, not as rebellion but as liberation. To her, imperfection simply doesn’t exist. It is a concept we’ve been taught to chase, but in nature and in truth, nothing is flawed—only unique, evolving, and whole as it is.

Light is both subject and material in her paintings. Each piece is designed to interact with its surroundings, changing throughout the day and echoing what’s around it. This constant dialogue with light makes her work dynamic and alive—never still, never finished.

Her art invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the present. It speaks to what can’t always be seen: emotions, memories, energy, and all that lies just beneath the surface. Through abstract forms, layered textures, and subtle shifts, Camilla creates spaces where presence matters more than perfection—and where beauty is not imposed, but discovered.

Camilla Ghione (b. 1995) is a contemporary Italian artist working between Monaco and Italy. Her paintings explore the intersection of nature, psychology, and the cosmos, using mixed media—especially acrylic and resin—to create immersive, luminous surfaces. A key element in her work is the integration of light: each piece is designed to react to its surroundings, shifting subtly with the light of day and reflecting its environment, making every viewing experience unique and dynamic.

Central to Ghione’s philosophy is the concept of imperfection. She challenges the societal obsession with flawlessness, believing that perfection is an illusion. Her work embraces organic forms, textures, and irregularities as a celebration of authenticity and humanity. Imperfection, rather than being something to correct, becomes a source of beauty and truth.

Her practice includes the use of reflective materials—resins, mirrors, and layered transparencies—that invite viewers to see themselves within the artwork, blurring the line between subject and observer. Through these techniques, she encourages self-reflection and emotional connection.

After earning a degree in Fashion Design in New York, Ghione shifted her focus to fine art, developing a visual language that balances abstraction with symbolic and natural elements. Her paintings evoke emotional landscapes, cosmic visions, and underwater realms—spaces of both clarity and mystery.

Committed to sustainability, she supports environmental causes by planting trees for every painting sold and contributing to ocean-cleaning projects. Her work has been exhibited internationally and features in prominent private collections. One of her notable works, More Than What You Can See, was auctioned by Sotheby’s in Monte-Carlo in support of Princess Charlene’s charity, embodying her invitation to look beyond the surface and connect with the invisible essence of things.
