Christophe Szpajdel, a talented artist from Belgium with Polish roots, has made Devon his home since 2006. An expert in calligraphy, typography, lettering, and logo design, he gained international fame for creating iconic logos for extreme metal bands like Emperor, Enthroned, Impiety, and Moonspell.
His artistic journey began in the mid-1980s, driven by a passion for rock and metal music. Even before attending university, he developed a keen interest in heavy metal art, particularly logos, specialising in pencil and ink to keep his work mobile.
Christophe's love for heavy metal, especially black and death metal, has inspired him to travel extensively, spending time in Greece, Spain, New Zealand, Austria, Portugal, France, Italy, Poland, Canada, Chile and the US, while living in Belgium and the UK. His travels have enriched his artistic style and solidified his reputation as a leading heavy metal logo artist.
Christophe Szpajdel is not just an artist; he’s a creative force born in Belgium in 1970 and now thriving in the picturesque landscapes of Devon since 2006.
