Eva Moosbrugger

Eva Moosbrugger

Eva Moosbrugger’s artistic philosophy centers around series-based explorations, examining abstract concepts, natural forms, and philosophical narratives through refined abstraction and reductive aesthetics. Her sculptures consistently embody biomorphic shapes and profound simplicity, inviting viewers into meditative contemplation. Working meticulously with glass, she transforms the medium's inherent fragility into a powerful conduit for expressing enduring themes of harmony, introspection, and organic beauty.

Her artistic practice distinguishes itself through her rare ability to fuse technical mastery with conceptual depth, pushing the expressive possibilities of glass beyond traditional boundaries. Moosbrugger’s contributions to contemporary art lie in her sophisticated integration of craftsmanship and philosophy, consistently revealing glass as an expressive medium capable of capturing ephemeral beauty, emotional depth, and timeless contemplation.

Eva Moosbrugger has established herself as an internationally recognized figure in contemporary glass art. Initially trained in painting and material experimentation, Eva transitioned to sculpture in 1984, engaging with materials like iron, stone, and ceramics before dedicating herself fully to glass in the mid-1990s. She completes her technical prowess through intensive collaborations with Murano glass masters. Her innovative works have gained acclaim, being exhibited globally at esteemed institutions and being part of prestigious collections.
