Biography

I am an internationally recognized artist. Since 2013, I have been living and creating in the United Kingdom. I was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1962. I graduated from Antanas Martinaitis Art School and the Academy of Art.

My artistic career started in 1989 with my first solo exhibition at Kaunas Art House. In total, I have participated in over 100 exhibitions in Europe, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Lithuania, Hungary, and the Czech Republic, as well as in England, Japan, Canada, and the United States.

Among the most prominent exhibitions are the 2026 group exhibition "Windows 1001" at the Figurative Art Museum in Barcelona, the Florence Biennale 2023, the FIABCN Art Fair 2023 in Barcelona, and The Other Art Fair 2022 in Dallas, USA.

I have received numerous awards and prizes. In 2025, I was awarded the Collectors Art Prize "Art Legends of Our Time" by Contemporary Art Curator Magazine. In 2023, I received the Harmony for Humanity Prize and the Global Consciousness Prize. In 2025, I received the "El Greco Fine Art Prize" and the "Premio Artista D'Europa 2025" Prize. In 2022, I was awarded ATIM's "Top 60 Contemporary Masters Award" in New York.

My artworks have appeared in 24 art books. I was included in the "Top Investable Artists 2026" guide and the "Atlante Dell'Arte Contemporanea 2026" book. In 2025, my work was included in the "Important World Artists" book. In 2024, I was selected for the "Unicatalog" alongside notable artists such as Andy Warhol, Amedeo Modigliani, and other famous artists. By World of Art Magazine, I was published in the "Internationally Recognized Artists" book, the "Top 10 Contemporary Artists 2023" book, and more.

I am also a poet. Four poetry books have been published, three in the Lithuanian language and the latest one, "Ephemeral Awaking," in English.

Artist Statement

I work primarily in oil on canvas, but my curiosity leads me to embrace mixed media, watercolors, acrylic, oil pastels on paper, and collages. Currently, I explore the concept of infinity through my signature "dancing lines." Each figure and other forms are constructed from continuous flowing contours that echo the endless cycles of existence.

My instinctive, cursory brushstrokes evoke the rhythm of heartbeat and breath. The equality of the brushstrokes suggests a state of inner balance, the subtle harmony of the living self. I often combine vivid, alive, saturated tones with structured patterning, which gives the work energy and discipline.

As a poet, I weave narrative and symbolism into my visual language, inviting viewers to find their own stories within my artwork and to contemplate creativity as a co-creation with something vast, timeless, and profoundly benevolent.
