Nada Kelemen
Biography
Nada Kelemen is a Czech contemporary visual artist whose work explores the subtle relationships between color, emotion, energy, and the inner world of human experience. Her artistic expression is rooted in intuition, sensitivity, and a profound connection with nature.
Her artistic journey emerged naturally from more than twenty-five years devoted to holistic practices, personal exploration, and the study of harmony, energy, and the interconnectedness of life. These experiences gradually shaped her intuitive perception and sensitivity, laying the foundation for a distinctive creative path in which painting became an authentic expression of her inner world.
Working with acrylic and oil paints, mixed media, and textural techniques, Kelemen creates richly layered compositions characterized by expressive colors, organic forms, and delicate textures. Her creative process is spontaneous and intuitive, allowing each artwork to develop naturally without a predetermined concept. Rather than imposing a fixed interpretation, she invites viewers to discover their own emotions, memories, and personal connections within her paintings.
She also draws inspiration from Japanese calligraphy, meditation, music, and the ever-changing rhythms of nature. Through her work, she seeks to create a space for contemplation, inner harmony, and emotional resonance.
Nada Kelemen has established an extensive international exhibition presence, presenting her work across Europe, Asia, the United States, and the Middle East. Her artistic journey has taken her to major cultural centers, including New York, Beijing, Tokyo, London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Barcelona, Madrid, Vienna, Bratislava, Basel, Prague, and numerous other cities.
Among her notable international presentations are ARTexpo New York, where her work has been featured on three occasions; an exhibition at Fridman Gallery in New York; and repeated participation in art events at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Her exhibition history also includes World Art Dubai, the London Biennale of Women in Art, art biennales in Barcelona, the Fine Art Cannes Biennale, and the Contemporary Art Biennale Basel. Her international activities continue to expand, including her upcoming participation in World Art Dubai in November 2026.
In 2026, Nada Kelemen was presented as an artist alongside her artwork Hidden Gem (Skrytý diamant) during the 61st International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, at the Grenada Pavilion.
Her artistic achievements also include a critical presentation in the Internazionale section of the prestigious publication Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea 2026, dedicated to contemporary art, whose corporate partner was the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Among her international distinctions are the Olympus Arts Awards 2026 in Milan, the Noble Art Award 2026, and the Global Collectors Art Prize 2026 - Masters Defining the Future of Art.
Through her continuously evolving artistic language, Nada Kelemen creates works that transcend literal representation, offering viewers a personal encounter with color, movement, emotion, and the invisible dimensions of human experience.
Artist Statement
My art is an intuitive journey into the world of colors, emotions, and the invisible connections that shape our existence. Painting allows me to express what cannot always be captured in words - feelings, impressions, memories, and the subtle rhythms of life.
My creative process is spontaneous and deeply personal. I rarely begin with a predetermined idea or a fixed vision of the final composition. Instead, I allow colors, forms, and textures to guide me, following my intuition and the emotions of the moment. Each painting gradually reveals its own character, becoming a unique expression of an inner experience.
Nature, music, meditation, and the ever-changing world around me are endless sources of inspiration. I am fascinated by the relationship between movement and stillness, light and shadow, strength and tenderness. Through acrylic and oil paints, mixed media, and layered textures, I explore these contrasts and transform them into abstract compositions.
For me, painting is a space of absolute freedom, where there are no boundaries or expectations. I do not seek to explain the world or impose a particular meaning on my work. I believe that every viewer brings their own experiences, emotions, and imagination to a painting, discovering something uniquely personal within it.
Beyond artistic expression, I hope my paintings can bring a sense of joy, peace, and harmony into people’s everyday lives. I would like them to become a source of positive energy, quiet inspiration, and emotional well-being - something that gently enriches the spaces we inhabit and contributes, even in a small way, to a more beautiful and fulfilling life.
My greatest wish is for my paintings to create a moment of genuine connection - perhaps a feeling of calm, a sense of wonder, a cherished memory, or simply a smile.
I paint because it is my natural way of expressing what I feel, perceive, and experience. Each canvas is an open dialogue between my inner world and the world of those who encounter it.
