Rick Vantaurean
Biography
I have been in love with art ever since I could hold a pencil, so from around three years old. I cried until my mother taught me how to hold a pencil correctly. There is not much I can praise her for in my life, but that is definitely one of the things I can.
Although my style and medium have changed over the years, as all artists do, I have tried to keep outside influences from ending up in my work. I let the paint take me to its conclusion. That’s why I fell in love with abstract art.
Artist Statement
I’m primarily an abstract artist working in acrylic. I also draw in abstract. I love to mix abstract backgrounds with tattoo-style tribal drawing.
