Annabell Mozer

Annabell Mozer

Biography

My name is Annabell Mozer. I’m 37 years old and a self-taught artist from Stuttgart, Germany. My journey into art began on my 30th birthday, a personal turning point after recovering from a serious illness. What initially served as a way to process my experiences soon grew into a deep passion and ultimately became an essential part of my life.

Since 2023, my work has been exhibited in group shows and international art fairs in Paris, Miami, Milan, Madrid, Monaco, and Stuttgart. Several of my paintings have also found their way into private collections, connecting with people who resonate with my emotional and expressive work.

Artist Statement

Art, to me, is about presence, not perfection. My creative process is intuitive, spontaneous, and emotionally driven. Working primarily with acrylics allows me to respond directly to what I feel in the moment, capturing energy and emotion without overthinking.

Music plays a vital role in my studio. It inspires and energizes me, often becoming part of the physical painting process. Sometimes I even find myself dancing while I work. That energy flows directly into the canvas, and the rhythm between sound and colour drives my expression.

Rather than confining myself to a single style or subject, I follow colour and mood. My work combines contemporary floral and figurative painting, with flowers often becoming a visual language for emotion, vulnerability, memory, and inner strength. I work intuitively, allowing parts of a painting to remain raw while others develop through layers of colour and feeling.

Recently, I’ve been drawn to creating large-scale works on unstretched canvas, attaching it directly to the wall. This method gives me more space to move freely and allows the creative energy to unfold naturally.

Painting is how I stay grounded, connected, and fully present, in myself and in the moment. Art is not about perfection; it’s about presence.
