Biography

I grew up in Berlin. After high school, I completed a technical apprenticeship, followed by a degree in exterior wall design in the field of architecture in Potsdam. Alongside my career and family, art was not my main focus.

Now I can devote more time to my art.

I work with a wide variety of materials, and my themes also address events in our society.

Freedom in my work is important to me. But as Meret Oppenheim once said, “You have to take freedom for yourself. It isn’t given to you.”

The courage to try new things and to experiment allows me to create something new.

My work has garnered significant international attention, and I have participated in digital exhibitions in Amsterdam, Venice, London, and Paris.

Awards: “Palm Award 2020,” “Faces of Peace” 2022, Global Art Virtuoso 2024, International “Phoenix” Prize 2024, Venice, Women Art Award 2025, El Greco Premio de las Bellas Artes 2025, Persona Art Honors 2025, The Premier Artist Prize 2026, Noble Art Award 2026, Renoir 2026, Cannes/Monaco.

Artist Statement

The abundance of materials opens up new possibilities for my artistic practice.

I see the world through my own eyes and reinterpret it in my artwork.

I have created, and continue to create, expressive, vividly colored abstract works that are also influenced by world events.

Meaning and significance are important to me and are transformed into structures and colors.

The materials’ own momentum sometimes gives rise to unplanned and astonishing works.

Every day brings something new, and it takes courage to represent it in a different, new form through artistic creation.

“Creativity requires courage.” Henri Matisse

I am inspired by creativity in all areas, and sustainability is very important to me. Treating materials and the environment with care is an integral part of my work.
