Fari Ali
Painting has been a spiritual journey for Artist Fari Ali from the past 50 years. Her canvasses are mainly in oils. Her style is a genre of fine arts —Photo Realism and Expressionism. In Fari’s own words ”Reality belongs only to Spirit and Art is the miracle to prove this truth in the world we live in.” Her creations are an attempt to explore the beauty, sensitivity and more importantly the need to reflect on and take care of Mother Nature. She invites you to recognize and embrace yourself as an honoured member of the family of life. The flow, power, grace and wisdom you see in the natural world, is a great reflection of qualities you carry within your own Self. They may be interpreted and appreciated based on your own perceptions but if through the process of creation she can touch your heart—-she is sufficiently rewarded.
When she was 16 she once had an epiphany to start sketching and painting. It was rather sporadic and instinctive. However as life got busy she continued painting as a hobby and as a “shock absorber” and a relaxing therapy. A pivotal moment arose in her mid forties when she faced a ‘burn out’ and had health issues. She started to delve deeper into the spiritual world and from then on it was as if Spirit nudged her to do more complex canvases with a focus on every detail. Her best works happened when she was ‘in the zone’ putting aside all else and not being ‘of the world’ though in the world.
She has an inner calling and urge to beautify the already beautiful world. The purpose is to get people to notice even what appears ‘ordinary’ to the common man and provide him the extraordinary vision and perception to see the same subject in a new light. This gives her the inspiration to use vibrant colours and intricate textures on her canvasses.
She is a self taught artist out of choice. Technology, techniques, knowledge, experience are merely tools. She believes that true creation arises when the artist is ‘possessed’ by the creative force and lets the inner self flow out. It is a union with the Divine, with the mystical and the unknowable. Only then it can be a blessing to others and a contribution to the world. This inner belief in her infuses a unique voice and honours her journey into hyper-realism. She describes this as her ‘Spiritual Nature Essence.’
In an extraordinary showcase of expressionism, artist Fari Ali captures more than just images; they seize the very essence of their subjects, rendering them with a spirituality that transcends the canvas. As an advocate for the timeless nature of art, Fari proclaims, “All passes, only art endures,” a belief deeply embedded in her vibrant creations. A distinct union with the divine, the mystical, and the unknowable is felt through each brush stroke, displaying a rare ability to manifest ‘the miracle’ that connects our material existence to the spiritual world.
Painting has been a spiritual journey for Fari from the past 50 years. Her canvasses are mainly in oils. Her style is a genre of fine arts —Photo Realism and Expressionism. Her intention has always been to integrate art into spirituality and hence express the beauty of the world : Through painting landscapes and monuments unaffected by the impurities of the environment we live in; Through painting portraits of people, birds and animals by bringing out the true essence of their personalities and soul beauty; Through painting florals and nature so that human beings despite their busy lives can stop by to appreciate their intrinsic beauty.
She believes “All passes, only art endures”; and that “Reality belongs only to Spirit and art is the miracle to prove this truth in the world we live in.”
